Whether you’re a new studio looking to bring in some well-known talent, or you simply want to spend a day railing your favorite porn star, it begs an important question.
Can you hire one for a day, and how would you go about doing it?
Let’s be honest, a lot of people have probably thought about what it would be like to fuck their favorite pornstar at least once. So, let’s look at whether or not this can actually be done, and what hiring a porn star entails.
Can You Hire A Pornstar?
By their very nature, pornstars are just contractors. They are hired out for work, no different than hiring an electrician or a plumber.
The only difference is, pornstars do a lot better at taking care of your pipes. (Okay, that was a bad joke.)
But seriously, the pornstars you see on your screen were filmed because someone booked them, hired them, and paid them for the shot.
There, they must be available to hire, if they’re still in the business.
The question is, are YOU able to hire them?
The truth is, if you are a small studio and you can afford to book a specific performer, you shouldn’t have a problem getting them to work on your project.
They will want to see that you are a legitimate studio, running a legitimate business. Having all of your legal setup in order – as well as a history of scenes shot with other performers, makes it far more likely to be taken seriously.
Many pornstars are managed by talent agencies, and the bookings will take place through them.
Typically, agencies will list the models they work with on their website, and will provide instructions on how to proceed with booking them. Of course, just because they represent a specific model, does not mean that the model will be available for your project.
Remember that this is a business relationship, and you should not expect free reign to have fun with the talent that you book.
Treating pornstars in an unprofessional manner not only tarnishes your reputation, but can even lead to sexual harassment charges or even prison time if you break the law. They are people, they have the same rights as anyone else, and you would be booking them for work.
What if you don’t run a studio, and just want to spend a day with your favorite pornstar?
This is where things get more tricky.
While it’s not unheard of for pornstars to do other sex work on the side – including meeting up with individuals, this is handled on a case-by-case basis.
As you might imagine, meeting up with people is an inconvenience at best, and a huge safety risk at worst.
Considering that real studios:
- Pay on time / reliably
- STD test all of their performers
- Are safe to show up at
- Move through the work in an organized and quick fashion
…It’s no wonder that performers would rather work through them, even if they would make promising money doing something else.
What Would It Cost To Hire A Pornstar?
So, let’s say that you did want to hire a pornstar for your project. What could you expect to pay for their work?
The exact rates will vary depending on who you’re trying to book, their prominence, the amount of work they currently have, the specific acts you want to perform, and more.
And of course, you’ll need to pay all travel expenses as well, if your desired performer does not live in your area. (This is one reason so many porn studios operate out of Los Angeles or Miami.)
Generally speaking, you can expect to pay a few hundred dollars for someone completely new to the industry, to several thousand dollars for a top-of-the-line performer.
Typically speaking, $800-1,500 per scene is typical for many pornstars, excluding travel fees. This also does not include any other staff that would typically be present for a porn shoot.
Additionally, additional rates may be charged for extreme sex acts or fetishes that are not traditionally done.
Remember: Pornstars Are Not Escorts!
I must say again that pornstars are not escorts, nor are they prostitutes.
While some may do escorting work on the side, you will not get anywhere thinking of them this way.
Just because someone is willing to get fucked on a camera, does not mean that they have any interest meeting up with others, are being recorded in a non-business setting.
Do not get upset if a pornstar you’re looking for isn’t available, or doesn’t have any interest in doing anything with you.
Getting anything more than traditional work is rare, so a ‘no’ shouldn’t come as a surprise – if you even get a response at all.
Although it is possible to hire a pornstar for a day, most pornstars will typically only work with established studios.
To inquire about booking one of your favorite pornstars, contact the agency that represents them for more information.
