Q&A: Do Pornstars Actually Enjoy Sex While Filming?

It goes without saying, but sex is one of the most pleasurable and exciting things we can do is humans – which is why so many of us obsess over it, and why it’s estimated that as much as 30% of internet traffic may be porn-related.

And I suppose that makes sense. After all, biologically speaking, our sole purpose is to have a good time and procreate as much as possible.

But for pornstars, you have to wonder – since it’s their job, are they actually able to enjoy sex – both while filming, or when they go home? How does their work affect their sex life? Are they just faking it, or is any part of it genuine?

These are excellent questions. I am friends with a few notable performers myself, and of course, make my own audio porn – so I’m happy to share their thoughts along with my own!

Do Porn Actors Enjoy Sex While Shooting The Scene?

For the most part, the answer is yes!

Performers have their own tricks for getting legitimately turned on. And while porn shoots can last for a lengthy period of time (several hours), the act of having sex feels good. Feeling a hard cock slide in and out of your vagina is always going to be pleasurable as long as you’re actually turned on and in the right headspace for getting fucked.

I’d imagine the same holds true for men, as well. Some of my favorite phone sex clients are gooners, and we literally have calls that last for 3, 4, 5, even 6 hours or longer, gooning out to porn together. You can hear the lust in their voice, you can tell how good their cocks feel.

That being said, it is a little different for pornstars.

Remember, It’s Still A Job For Them

If you’ve ever had sex with someone because you felt obligated to and not because you really were in the mood to, maybe you can relate.

Porn is an artificial environment for the performers. They show up to work just like you would show up at an office, with a job to do, and an eagerness to get it done.

They may barely know the person that they’re going to be having sex with, and they’re under pressure to make sure the scene is shot the right way, as quickly as efficiently as possible.

This is not like fucking to completion. It may involve putting your body in uncomfortable positions, stopping and adjusting to get a better camera angle, or recording equipment shoved near your face.

There are other people watching and telling you how to fuck, what sex acts to do, and so on. Basically, it’s all choreographed.

This is the exact opposite of how natural sex is – where everything happens in the moment, based on what the two (or more) of you are actually feeling and desiring.

Combine this with the fact that these shoots can last far beyond what’s enjoyable… and it’s natural for the performer’s minds to wander to more exciting things, like what they’ll be doing after work, or what they’re going to eat when they get home.

This doesn’t mean the sex isn’t pleasurable, or that their orgasms aren’t real, and so on.

But by the end of a long shoot, it’s hard to keep up the same attitude you do at the beginning, particularly if things don’t go as smoothly as planned.

As someone that makes audio porn from the comfort of my own home, I realize how good I have it. I only have to work with myself and my own body. I am my own director. I don’t have to make myself look great, travel to the set, and stay there until the scene is done.

For performers on video – especially those with professional studios, it’s a lot more ‘work’ than it looks.

Does It Affect Their Sex Life At Home?

Here’s another different, but similar question. If they spend the day having sex with someone else, can they still enjoy their sex lives at home?

According to the girls I’ve talked to, they can!

For us women, a lot of sex has to do with the mental side of things. We crave not only the physical sensation, but the connection and intimacy with our partners.

Many pornstars admit they get far more horny when having sex with their partners than with the most attractive men or women on the planet, for this very reason.

Having sex with someone else earlier in the day typically doesn’t affect their ability to have great sex with their partner once they get home. Though, if a shoot lasted longer than expected, it’s understandable that they may not want to.

I sure wish I had someone to ravage me as soon as I’m done with my recordings!

Closing Thoughts

Creating porn is work, and there’s a lot that goes into it. From preparing yourself looks-wise to traveling to the set, to being heavily directed with multiple cameras and microphones in your face… it is certainly less pleasurable than having natural, raw sex with someone you’re into.

Of course, this doesn’t mean it’s not enjoyable, and a lot of adult stars do legitimately enjoy the work – finding it fulfilling and pleasurable at the same time.
