Onahole.com / Motsutoys.com Review – Are They Legit?

It’s always exciting to find a retailer that sells authentic Japanese sex toys, especially since so many of them are never sold outside of Japan.

In fact, many onaholes on the market are only ever carried by one retailer alone, making them rather difficult to obtain even if you’ve got the money to pay.

Thankfully, Onahole.com (United States) and Motsutoys.com (Europe) – both owned by the same company, sell a lot of unique products, some of which can’t be found anywhere else.

But are they legit, or a scam? What’s the ordering experience like, and how do they handle things like customer issues, shipping, and returns?

In this article, I’ll cover everything you need to know with a full review and my personal experiences with the company!

Onahole.com Vs Motsutoys.com

Note that my personal experience is with shopping at Onahole.com, but I’m including Motsutoys.com as well since Motsutoys is essentially just the European version of the site. I will also note any differences between the two sites when relevant.

Now to start out, I want to mention that Motsutoys is the older of the two sites – and still the more popular one based on our research. This makes sense, as Motsutoys launched all the way back in 2014 according to their about page, where as Onahole.com only launched in 2022.

While there are minor differences between the two sites (obviously, the US site is not going to ship from the same warehouses as the European site), the two websites are operated by the same company.

So, if you’re in the United States, you’ll visit Onahole.com. If you’re in Europe, you’ll visit Motsutoys.com. Got it? Good! Let’s continue with our review.

Product Selection

Product selection is where the two sites differ the most.

Motsutoys, being the older and more popular site, has a much larger selection to choose from – hundreds of products, vs. just a few dozen available on Onahole.com

That being said, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Rather than focusing on being a megastore, the company has chosen a smaller, tailored line of products from top quality brands like XTC Japan, KYO, ONDO, N.P.G, Seiraku Toys, and Magic Eyes.

While classic onaholes are the company’s main focus, there is a nice assortment of other products as well, including larger onahips, mini sex dolls, tit-focused toys, vibrators, and more!

The company also sells a number of other accessories to aid in the enjoyment of your toys, including lube, rechargable warmers, cleaning tools, and drying sticks.

Again, although Onahole’s selection is relatively small compared to other stores, I think this makes it even better for beginners, as it’s easy to get overwhelmed with too many options if you’re just starting to explore the world of onaholes.

While there are a lot of fetish-oriented products available – including a pregnant belly onahole and even an onahole that’s designed to mimic fucking an actual penis, there are a huge variety of traditional onaholes available as well.

Orders / Shipping

Shipping for products is straightforward on both websites.

Both websites ship on weekdays only according to their shipping page, and orders are typically processed within 48 hours of your order being placed.

Onahole.com uses Shopify as their eCommerce platform. Shopify is incredibly secure, and is used by millions of online stores. Onahole.com does not handle your credit card information directly. We could not find out what software powers Motsutoys, but the website has been around long enough without any major issues to show that it’s trustworthy and secure.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email with a summary of your order. After your order has shipped, you will receive another email with tracking information.

Shipping Time + Pricing

Unfortunately, neither site offers free shipping. However, Onahole.com offers free shipping on orders that total over $150. This automatically makes some of their more expensive products – like certain onahips or mini sex dolls, ship free.

On Motsutoys, the shipping price varies depending on the country that you’re ordering to. A full list can be found here.

On Onahole.com, a flat $15 is charged for economy shipping, which gives a timeline of 5 to 8 business days. Fedex 2Day shipping is also available, with pricing dependent on the product’s weight and size.

This is one area where the company can potentially be criticized a little bit – using a flat fee for shipping rather than basing it off the actual courier cost means that they may be raking in additional profit from shipping costs. While it’s certainly possible the fees are higher for larger orders, the average onahole does not actually cost $15 to ship if that’s the only thing in the order

Couriers used in Europe include DHL, GLS, and PostNL, depending on the country that you’re shipping to. In the U.S, couriers include USPS and Fedex.

Orders from Onahole.com ship from a warehouse in Boise, Idaho. Orders on Motsutoys ship from the Netherlands.

Shipping Discretion

When buying sex toys online, one of the things you’ll want to be aware of is the discretion used while shipping!

Even if you don’t live with other people, it can be a little uncomfortable if your local delivery person finds out you’re ordering a bunch of hentai sex dolls. So, how does Onahole.com / Motsutoys handle it?

Orders are shipped in a plain, cardboard box. Even if someone looks at the shipping label, the sender is a third-party shipping company, and cannot be traced back to the company.

So, there is no way for somebody to tell that you’ve ordered sex toys unless they actually open up the package.

Inside the box, the packaging is relatively basic. The products are placed inside the box, and packaging paper is used to secure the items in place and prevent movement.

As you can see, the products are visible once the box is opened, but this isn’t really a big deal since well, there is no way to hide products at this point anyway. Even if they were inside another bag or something, a determined person would just open up the bag after they’ve opened the box.

This box contained two items. One product did have minor damage to the box, which may have occurred during shipping. The other product arrived in perfect condition.

It’s worth noting that most onaholes, even if thrown around and abused by the courier, won’t actually affect the product itself. It was a little disappointing to see the shipping damage on this vibrator, as this is one of the few products the company offers that actually can be damaged by poor shipping.

It would be great if the company would do more to protect any electronic products they ship in the future! That being said, the packaging paper did seem to be placed in a way that was designed to prevent movement inside the box as much as possible – and the box received was an appropriate size for the two products inside of it.

Customer Service

I tested the company’s customer service for the sake of this article.

Typically, responses came in within a few hours of sending a request. No request I sent was met with a response time longer than 24 hours.

Returns

Both Motsutoys.com and Onahole.com have the same return policy. Summarized, the terms are as follows at the time of writing:

• You can initiate a return within 14 days of receiving your items.
• You must contact the company before returning the products.
• Items must be returned in original condition, meaning they can’t be used. The reason for this should be obvious.
• Shipping fees will be returned, unless you choose a more expensive shipping option at checkout (i.e Fedex 2Day.)
• You are responsible for return shipping costs.

In my opinion, this return policy is more than fair, and while I have not personally tried to return any items, I have complete faith that the company upholds these policies fairly.

Closing Thoughts

Ordering sex toys online can be scary – especially if there aren’t a lot of online reviews to go by.
