If you’ve discovered the world of Aneros and prostate play – congratulations. You’re about to unlock one of the greatest superpowers most men do not even know exists.

However, choosing your first Aneros toy can be a bit confusing – after all, most of them look quite similar, and unless you’re already experienced, it’s hard to understand the differences between them.

In this article, I’ll share my best recommendation for beginners, coming from somebody that owns every Aneros model currently being sold. I’ll also share when you might want to buy a 2nd or 3rd model to go along with it.

Let’s get into it!

A Quick Overview Of The Various Aneros Models

First, let’s do a very quick overview of the various models Aneros has for sale:

MGX – Balanced, simple, small-medium size. A bit more subtle than other models.

Eupho – Small, moves a lot during use.

Helix – Balanced, medium size. Higher stimulation than MGX.

Maximus – Medium-large in size. A good in-between from the Helix to the Progasm if you like the feeling of being ‘filled up’ more.

Progasm – Aneros’ largest model. Doesn’t move much, but hits your prostate hard. Difficult for beginners to fit inside comfortably.

PSY – Aneros’ newest model. Similar to the Maximus in size, but adjustable to help find the perfect angle. A bit more stimulating than the Maximus, too.

Many beginners think that ‘bigger is better’, and that hammering the prostate harder – or adding on fancy features like vibration will help you achieve a prostate orgasm more quickly.

This is a myth. You CANNOT brute force your way to a prostate orgasm by stimulating your prostate aggressively, like you can with your penis. In fact, most of the battle is mental.

Therefore, you can achieve very pleasurable orgasms with any of these toys. Likewise however, even the best toy cannot guarantee a prostate orgasm on its own.

Why I Recommend The Helix Syn V First

Out of every Aneros model being sold, my number one recommendation by far is the Helix Syn V.

This is because it offers pretty much everything a beginner would want:

It’s large enough to comfortably hit the prostate, without being uncomfortable. Almost everyone should be able to comfortably insert the Helix Syn V. And because of its’ size, you should be able to feel sensations quickly.

It’s not so small that it can’t move on its own as the pleasure starts to build, and your body starts involuntary contractions.

The added vibration can be nice to use when you’re more experienced, for brief periods. I do NOT recommend using it all the time nor relying on it, as the natural movement and pressure of the Aneros will provide immense pressure on its own. Still, it’s nice to have the option.

It is the Toyota Corolla of prostate toys. Reliable, loved by almost everyone, and will comfortably get you to where you need to go.

Note that Aneros also officially recommends the MGX alongside the Helix Syn as their beginners’ choice. In my opinion, you want to feel something quickly – as this is how the pleasure starts to grow.

The MGX is a fine beginners choice as well, but it’s a bit less stimulating and moves a bit more often. As a beginner who may not yet have all the control needed to handle a toy with lots of movement, I find the MGX a bit harder to start building pleasure with.

Therefore, my choice is absolutely the Helix Syn V. You can grab it from Aneros’ website by clicking here.

When To Upgrade

If the Syn V is so good on its own, why do I own every Aneros model available?

Well, there may come a time when you decide you want to mix it up a little bit. And although they look similar, each Aneros model really is quite different from each other.

After you have a little bit of experience, you’ll start to know what you like.

Do you like a toy that hammers YOU hard on its own? You may enjoy being at the mercy of the Progasm.

Do you like very subtle, but ever-increasing pleasure waves? Or perhaps something you can comfortably wear while walking around? Try the Eupho.

Do you simply like being filled up a little bit more? Progasm or Maximus.

Personally, I find myself using the PSY the most these days – I have it adjusted right where I want it. But as a beginner, the Aneros toys are already designed to be perfectly fit for almost everyone. It is far too easy to end up making things worse if you don’t know what you’re doing, when using a toy like the PSY.

Closing Thoughts

Ultimately, you can’t go wrong using the Helix Syn V as your first Aneros toy.

While there are other toys that focus on bigger sizes or more movements, the Syn V is a great, comfortable, and highly stimulating option for almost everybody.

Try this one out first, and upgrade when you have a specific reason to do so.

Until then, enjoy! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them below!
